Funeral services for Stanley “Raye” Frye, age 67, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Sheppard officiating. Interment will be at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Mr. Frye passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Wellstar Hospice Care.

Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Knott Frye; four daughters, Amanda Camp (Roger), Christy Burks, Kathy Cooke (Jeremy) and Erin Domingues (Isaiah); twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Victoria, Joby, Macenzie, Richard, Madison, Lexi, Tyler, Elainah, Bentley, and Ellie; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Tim Frye (Kelly); sister-in-law, Billie Ann Frye; nieces and nephews, Jessie, Gina, Hunter and Hallie.

Pallbearers will be Roger Camp, Jeremy Cooke, Isaiah Domingues, Ryan Camp, Joby Traylor, and Richard Browning,

Mr. Frye was born on January 18, 1959, the son of Jay Frye and Joyce Walker West.  He attended church at Oasis of White Plains and had been employed with the City of Roanoke street department as an equipment operator.  Mr. Frye loved playing the football board in The Randolph Leader, going to auctions, and going to football games with his brother.  He enjoyed fishing, watching Gunsmoke, and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide.  Mr. Frye was a protector of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Frye; 2 sons-in-law and one nephew.
