Funeral services for James David Wilkins, age 62, of Lanett, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Cleve Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Wadley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Wilkins passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Survivors include: one sister, Sharon Mackel (Ed) of Wadley; nieces, Sherrer Brooks and Brittney Knight; and nephew, Stevie Wilkins.

A Florida native, Mr. Wilkins was born on July 25, 1964, the son of Charles Calvin and Marilynn Millard Wilkins.  He was Christian by faith and worked as a supervisor in various cotton mills and was also a personal trainer.  Mr. Wilkins loved the outdoors and gardening, animals, the beach, and people. He was a craftsman and had remodeled his entire home, inside and out.  Mr. Wilkins was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stevenn Wilkins.
