Graveside services for Melba Windsor Burke, age 88, of Anniston, will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at White’s Chapel Methodist Church with Dr. Roland Brown officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burke passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Burke of Anniston; one daughter, Sonya Maynard of Auburn; three brothers, Ronald Windsor (Norma), Donald Windsor, and Kirby Windsor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Burke, Russell Windsor, Brian Windsor, Chris Maynard, Randy Burke, and Cal Green.

Born To R. V. and Louise Windsor on October 6, 1937, Mrs. Burke graduated from Handley High School in 1955 and moved to Anniston where she met her husband Leroy and spent much of her working career and life.  Having moved the family to Columbus, Georgia, and lived there for 13 years, working and making friends, she and Leroy moved back to Anniston where they remained.  Mrs. Burke was passionately devoted to her family, taking care of their home, and was loved by everyone who knew her.  She enjoyed her church, cooking, embroidery, and home decorating.  Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Juliaette Marshall.
