Obituary of Terry Lee Shelnutt

Funeral services for Terry Lee Shelnutt, age 68, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Edward Herren officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2015. Mr. Shelnutt passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2015, at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City. Survivors include one son, Richard Shelnutt of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Haley Burns, Erin Shelnutt, and Trent Shelnutt; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Burns and Oakley Key; and one brother, Charlie Shelnutt of Roanoke. A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Shelnutt was born on June 12, 1947, the son of Thomas Gross and Vester Lee Cofield Shelnutt. He was a member of Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ and had been employed with Amoco Fabrics, Randolph County Commission, and White Fence Farms. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice Robinson Shelnutt; two brothers, James Shelnutt and Ray Shelnutt; and two sisters, LaFonda Dunlap and Kathryn Dunlap.
