Obituary of Arthur Ivinson Jones

Memorial services for Arthur Ivinson Jones, age 68, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeffery Rosser and Rev. William Phillips officiating. Mr. Jones passed away Friday March 4, 2016, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. Survivors include his wife, Liz Foster Jones of Roanoke; three daughters, Sayoda Jones of New Jersey, Sandra Andrade of New York, and Anesha Foster of Roanoke; two sons, Beaujolais Jones of New Jersey and Paul Jones of Kingston, Jamaica; two grandchildren, Asyriana Lemon and Christina Andrade; two sisters, Beverley Davis of Connecticut and Thelma Williams of London, England; and one brother, Horaine Jones of Kingston, Jamaica. A Kingston, Jamaica native, Mr. Jones was born on August 23, 1947, the son of Arthur Jones, Sr., and Joycelyn Lawrence Jones. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Roanoke and was a retired United States Army Veteran of Desert Storm. Mr. Jones also worked for Roosevelt Rehab in Warm Springs, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman Jones.
