Funeral services for Lee Smith, age 43, of Roanoke, will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 4:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Darnell Teal and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Mills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Mr. Smith passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016, in Franklin, GA. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Boggs Smith of Roanoke; one daughter, Tanna Victoria Smith of Roanoke; four sons, Colton Tevin Smith, Casey Lee Smith, Suede Peavy, and Christian Holloway, all of Roanoke; one granddaughter, Makensleigh Smith; three sisters, Mary Joyce Barge (husband, Donnie) of Griffin, GA, Donna Stephens (husband, Ricky) of Graham, AL, and April Osborne (husband, Bubba) of Bowdon, GA; and one brother, Wayne Smith (wife, Kelly) of Stoney Point, GA. Pallbearers will be Lester Couch, Dwayne Garrett, Keith Gilland, Chris Waldrep, Chad Bennett, and James Hand. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Burks and Kendall White. A Spalding County native, Mr. Smith was born on December 20, 1972, the son of Willis Durrell and Mary Elaine Conner Smith. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Bowdon, GA and had been employed by Rhino Mechanical as a welder. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.
