Funeral services for Ramona Gail Maddox, age 59, of Lanett, Alabama, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM EST from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM EST on Friday, September 2, 2016. Mrs. Maddox passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Lagrange Hospice. Survivors include: fiancé, Bruce Smith of Lanett; her little red sunshine, Hannah Sheppard of Lanett; one son, Jon Paul Sheppard of Valley; one sister, Barbara Cobb of Lagrange; and one brother Phillip Smallwood of Monroe, GA. Pallbearers will be Joey Smallwood, Brian Overton, and Chris Cobb. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Maddox was born on March, 28, 1957, the daughter of Tommy Smallwood and Lerlene Mulkey. She attended The Bridge Church in Wedowee and was a textile worker at West Point Stevens and Mead Westvaco. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Vickie Clay.
