Obituary of Franklin Delano Teet

Funeral services for Franklin Delano Teet, age 81, of Roanoke, formerly of West Point, Ga., will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Friday. Mr. Teet died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange. Survivors include his wife, Frances Rachael Phillips Teet of Roanoke; four daughters, Brenda Amos of Roanoke, Pam Welborn of LaGrange, Ga., Debbie Latimer of The Rock, Ga., and Destiny Faith Teet of LaGrange; four sisters, Mary Sue Robinson of Hampton, Ga., Anita Miller of Nicholson, Ga., Zadie Smiddy of Augusta, Ga., and Diane Eades, also of Athens; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A native of Green County, Georgia, Mr. Teet was born December 7, 1934, the son of Lloyd Morris and Thelma Scather Teet. He had been employed with Mead Paper Company.
