Graveside services for Dora L. Bennett Holloway, age 75, of Opelika, AL, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016, at 11:00 AM from Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Elton Overton officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Mrs. Holloway passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at her home. Survivors include her husband, Roy Holloway of Opelika, AL; two sons, Donald R. Holloway (wife, Karen Elaine) of Opelika, AL and Steve Holloway (wife, Leigh) of Roanoke; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Bozeman of Roanoke and Eleanor Johnson of Valley, AL. Pallbearers will be Brett Holloway, Chris Porter, Coby Porter, Scott Gladney, and Josh Nixon. A Chambers County native, Mrs. Holloway was born on February 8, 1941, the daughter of J.H. and Pearl Baxter Bennett. She was Baptist by faith and had worked for Franklin Aluminum. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Holloway; three brothers; and four sisters.
