Obituary of Tommie Lee "Pete" Culbertson
Graveside services for Tommie Lee “Pete” Culbertson, age 84, of Five Points will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Old New Hope Cemetery in Fredonia with Todd Henderson and Nick Pilgrim officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Culbertson passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his residence.
Survivors include: one son, Gregg Culbertson (Tammy) of Roanoke; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Yarbrough, Grant Culbertson, Zack Culbertson, Josh Culbertson, Hunter Bowling, and Christian Bowling. Leon Wessinger will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Culbertson was born on January 24, 1939, the son of tommy and Annie Maude Rushing Culbertson. He attended Wehadkee Baptist Church and worked as a welder for Newbury Sheet Metal in LaGrange, GA. Mr. Culbertson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Faye Culbertson; one daughter, Vanessa Culbertson; three sisters, Doris Baldwin, Katherine Mitchell, and Bernice Shelnutt; and one brother, Lonnie William Culbertson.
