Funeral services for Ronnie Ray Harper, age 76, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry McDaniel and Donald Huey officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday before services begin.

Mr. Harper passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda McCollough Harper of Roanoke; one daughter, Renee Daniel (Scotty) of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Connor Daniel and Haley Daniel; his twin sister, Connie Turner of Lanett; a brother, Buford Harper of Five Points; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Mitchell, Chris Allen, Jamie Norred, Josh Huey, Greg Wilson, and Rodney Turner.

A longtime Roanoke resident, Mr. Harper was born in Alexander City, Alabama, on September 6, 1946, the son of George and Burlie Mae Simpson Harper.  He was a member of Roanoke First Church of God and was a retired dye cutter in the print shop at West Point Pepperell.  Mr. Harper loved his family and his grandchildren were his world.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jonathan Daniel.
