Randy Lynn East, 62, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, in LaGrange, GA.

A memorial service will be hosted by the family at the Roanoke Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, January 14, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 1:00 PM before the services begin

Survivors include his four children, Amy East (Jeremie) of Woodland, Vanessa East (Dale), of Roanoke, Randal East (Jessica) of Woodland, and Shay Miranda (Avimael) of Fredonia; seven grandchildren, Chandler, Kenslie, Katie, Kelsea, Rylan, Elias, and Elizabeth; and three sisters, Juanita Harmon, Linda Cunningham, and Shirley Causey, all of Roanoke.

A Roanoke native, Mr. East was born on July 31, 1961, the son of William Taylor and Gladys Cook East. He had attended Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene and later the Roanoke Church of the Nazarene. Mr. East had worked as a spinner at Amoco. He had also volunteered with the United States Army Corps of Engineers for the past 8 years. He loved the outdoors and camping, especially fishing and watching eagles. He loved motorcycles and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Mr. East was preceded in death by his parents and two brother, Howard East and Jimmy East

Memorials may be floral, or donations be made to the American Heart Association in Mr. East’s memory.
