Obituary of Nicky Jerome Knight

Funeral services for Nicky Jerome Knight, age 63, of Wadley will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cummings officiating and B. J. Knight delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Mr. Knight passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his residence.

Survivors include: three daughters, Samantha Fincher of Fitchburg, MA, Amy Frye (Patrick) of Lineville, and Megan Cook of Ashland; one son, Lee Overton of Roanoke; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Brenda Ray and Debbie Kirk, both of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be John Knight, B. J. Knight, Jason Caldwell, Danny Tooker, Gary Rice, and Jessie Cook.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Caldwell and Reggie Caldwell.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Knight was born on October 5, 1960, the son of Billy Lee and Mary Caldwell Knight.  He worked as a truck driver for Wadley Crushed Stone and loved playing music with his brothers and uncles.  Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Don “Gabo” Knight; two brothers-in-law, Greg Kirk and Ken Ray; and a sister-in-law, Rose Knight.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to go toward final expenses.
