Obituary of Charles Jeffrey Shurick
Graveside services for Jeff Shurick, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Alan Hurst officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Jeff passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at his home.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Iris (Hurst) Shurick of Roanoke; one daughter, Hope A. Shurick of Denver, CO; two sisters, Charlene Cove of Raleigh, NC, and Cynthia Hughes of East Douglas, MA; and one brother, Daniel S. Shurick of East Douglas, MA.
Jeff was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on May 25, 1945, the oldest son of Charles F. and Beatrice N. (Stewart) Shurick. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam conflict and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Jeff worked in auto body paint and repair. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Iris Towle.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church General Fund in his memory.
