Obituary of Tammie Hunt Carden

Graveside services for Tammie Hunt Carden, age 62, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Cummings officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at Corinth Christian Church from 2:00-3:00 PM before services begin on Sunday.

Ms. Carden passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Survivors include: two sons, Craig Davidson (Misty) of Woodland and Thomas “Petey” Benefield of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Tyler Davidson, Austen Benefield, Kenneth Davidson, Kaitlyn Davidson, David Benefield, and Jada Benefield; three sisters, Beth Noles (Malcom Bassett), Darthy Hurd, and Julia Allen; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew, Carter.

Ms. Carden’s grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A Roanoke native, Ms. Carden was born on April 16, 1961, the daughter of R B and Nancy McDaniel Hunt.  She was a member of Corinth Christian Church and worked at Amoco Fabric and Fibers and managed convenience stores while she was working. Ms. Carden loved shopping and spending time with her grandbabies.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Mark Noles; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Allen.

Memorials may be floral.
