Barry Harlin, age 69, of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette, AL.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Robertson Harlin of Roanoke; two daughters, Stephanie Whaley (Scott) and Melanie Tinney (Clay), both of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Savannah Whaley, Slay Whaley (Shalyn), Sadie Whaley, Abe Tinney, Eli Tinney, Mary Emma Tinney; one great-grandchild, Stetson Whaley; and two brothers, Donnie Harlin (Lenita) and Randal Harlin (Rhonda), both of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Slay Whaley, Abe Tinney, Eli Tinney, and Matthew Harlin.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Harlin was born on July 6, 1954, the son of Raymon Z. “R.Z.” and Margaret Ann Calhoun Harlin.  He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was owner/operator of Harlin Trucking.  Mr. Harlin was a hardworking man who loved the trucking business, and he also enjoyed construction and land development.  Mr. Harlin was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund at P.O.
