OBITUARY Funeral services for Lonita Cottle "Mutt" Hallman, age 89, of Roanoke, will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 10:00 am from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billie Watts and Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 7th. Mrs. Hallman died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Traylor Nursing Home. Survivors include one daughter, Penny Bradshaw of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Ginger & Richard Head of Roanoke and Hallman & Samantha Bradshaw of Auburn; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye Towler of Rock Mills; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Eddard Beverly, Jimmy Cottle, Ed Carter, Kenneth Chase, Randy Adamson, Keith Towler and Jeff Towler. A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mrs. Hallman was born November 4, 1920, daughter of Eddie Hamilton and Laura Waldrep Cottle. She had been a member of North Main Congregational Christian Church for 75+ years and had been employed with Handley Mills and as a manager for Sunshine Laundry. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Hallman; two sisters, Sue Adamson and Elizabeth Chase; son-in-law, Gordon Bradshaw; and a brother, Charlie Ford Cottle. The family requests no flowers and suggests memorials to one's favorite charity of to North Main Congregational Christian Church (c/o Mike Breed, 1144 Striplin Street, Roanoke, AL 36274). Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
