Obituary of Ucal Smith

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mrs. Ucal Smith, of Rock Mills, age 105, will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at 11:00 am, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Billy Allen officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 on Monday, June 28, 2010. Mrs. Smith died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Traylor Nursing Home. Survivors include three nieces, Monta Wilkinson of Roanoke, Ginger Caldwell of Nashville, TN, Ellen Ezekiel of Sylacauga; four nephews, John Campbell of Birmingham, Robert Campbell of Sylacauga, Jimmy Clark of Sylacauga, Jack Glass of Atlanta, GA; several great nieces and nephews; several great great-nieces and great great-nephews. Pallbearers will be John Campbell, Robert Campbell, Jack Glass, Ernie Wilkinson, Trae Wilkinson and Alex Campbell. Mrs. Smith was born, February 15, 1905, the daughter of William A. and Fannie Mae Gamble Smith. She was a member of Rock Mills Baptist Church and a retired teacher for Rock Mills Elementary Schools. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerson Smith and Hugh Smith; three sisters, Adleaide Campbell, Clyde Clark and Kathryn Glass.
