OBITUARY
Graveside services for Merle Kirby Boyd, age 65, of Roanoke, will be held Friday, July 30, 2010, at 11:00 am from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Tommy Burke officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 29th.
Mrs. Boyd died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, James Boyd of Roanoke; one son, Danny Boyd of Roanoke; two sisters, Ann Gabriel and Sylvia Mitchell, both of Roanoke; two brothers, Joe Kirby of Roanoke and Berle Kirby of Bay Minette; four nieces and two nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nick Gabriel, Matt Mitchell, Anthony Caldwell, Robert Sims, Roy Bennett and Wayne Edmondson.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Boyd was born July 4, 1945, daughter of Curtis Dewey and Katie Ferrell Kirby. She had been employed with the Palm Beach Company.
