OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Howell McKinney, of Five Points, age 87, will be held Friday, October 23, 2009, at 11:00 am from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Dr. Wayne Swindall officiating. Burial to follow in the Five Points Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2009.
Mrs. McKinney died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (husband Cooper) Hodge of Five Points; one son, Tim (wife Carolyn) McKinney of Trussville; three grandchildren, Mark Hodge of Five Points, Kim Nelson of Odenville, Laura Prestridge of Odenville; two great grandchildren, Tillman Cooper Hodge, Anna Caroline Nelson; two sisters, Lottie Nolen of Lanett, Evelyn Harris of Dothan; one brother, Hubert Howell of Newnan.
Pallbearers will be her nephews; Rick Nolen, Dewayne Howell, Doyle Howell, Lewis Howell, Keith Howell and Billy Howell.
Mrs. McKinney was born March 12, 1922, the daughter of Grover and Lucille Patterson Howell. She was of the Methodist faith, had been a housewife and a member of the Five Points Homemakers Club. Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Zachary Tillman McKinney.
