Johnny was my brother, soul mate. We had memories that were the same, no one could take his place. He loved me beyond words , i could feel it . He had a heart as big as the world. If you needed anything , Johnny was there asking nothing in return. Johnny had 2 beautiful sons that he loved so much.He always kept his roots, where he came from , proud and wanted to return when this time came.He was a southern gentleman , with those nice manners.when his brother Bobby Burgess was killed at age 18 a part of him remained at Taylors Crossroads where Bobby is buried. Now he is home with Bobby , i love you always Johnny , a part of me is there with you and Bobby, rest in peace, the world was a rough place for you , love your little sis.Desser

i've known johnny since 1992. i will always remember the best brother (in law) a guy could ever have. he always wanted to "help" me get things done.sometimes on the job,but usually johnny had his head under the hood of one of my trucks, or the tractor. he would never except any money for his expertise.he really enjoyed the challenge. when johnny was done he always refered to the job as "a piece of cake".and he would always refer to me as a bonehead for not being able to figure certain things on my own. he was not critical. johnny was an excellant teacher. johnny taught me how to sweat pipes, and to do electrical residential wiring. i will always remember when johnny coached me into wiring a three way switch.johnny made me feel like a genius. that's how i'll remember "chain" (that's what i've always called, johnny). it's not so much the things that johnny did, but how he made me feel. just like my brother, and he was and still is.i could go on, but i should leave some room in case some of the southern folks want to say something, kind. johnny was brilliant,, i knew him. se ya when i see ya johnny-your yankee bro !!!!!!!
