Funeral services for Sybil Ann Heard, age 59, of Wadley will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stoney Halsey and Darden Arrington officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
Ms. Heard passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015, at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Brandy Heard of Atlanta; one son, Jamie Heard (wife, Mandy) of Wadley; two grandchildren, Anslee Heard and Cain Head; one sister, Lisa Nobley of Roanoke; two brothers, Doug Smith of Roanoke and Manuel Smith of Soddy-Daisy, TN; and a special friend, Darden Arrington of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Sheridan, D.J. McElvy, Sam Thrower, Jacob Loveless, Kyle Jackson, and Anthony Caldwell.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Ms. Heard was born on August 28, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Mildred Owens Smith. She was employed at Yellowstone National Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Janice Knight and Ethel Smith.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
