Mary Emma Hodges Wadsworth, 101, of Roanoke, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Traylor Nursing Home.
Mary Emma was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Nannie Stephens Hodges. She was born June 14, 1909, in the Radney's Chapel community and was a lifelong Randolph County resident. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her many friends.
Mary Emma is survived by one son, Michael (Reba) Wadsworth of Decatur, Al.,; one daughter, Bonnie (Doyle) Campbell of New Brockton, Al.; one sister, Sally Hodges Oglesby of Panama City, Fl.; four grandchildren, Christina Wadsworth of Decatur, Courtney Campbell of New Brockton, Justin (Hilary) Campbell of Auburn, Jeffrey (Melanie) Campbell of Forney, Tx.; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Kate Campbell of Auburn.
Mary Emma was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Wadsworth; grandson, Bradley Wadsworth; parents, Thaddeus and Nannie Hodges; two brothers, Thad Hodges and Fred Hodges; two sisters, Winnie Wilkins and Virginia Green.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Roanoke or to Radney's Chapel Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church in Roanoke at 11:00 am on Monday, August 16, 2010, with Rev. Mike Ramage officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Earl Manning, Byron Morrison, Jim Peek, Jim McKinney, Pat Awbrey, David Stephens, John Tinney, Spec Bonner and Bill Foster.
