Funeral services for Benjamin Keith Mapp, age 56, of Lafayette, will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Shannon Mapp officiating. Burial will follow at Penton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday.
Mr. Mapp passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Sweeney Hospital in Sweeney, TX.
Survivors include: his mother, Loretta Mapp Burks of Roanoke; one daughter, Madeline Elizabeth Mapp of Opelika; one sister, Elena Sudduth (husband, Walter) of Roanoke; one brother, Jonathan Ashley Mapp (wife, Allison) of Lafayette; one niece, Amee Rushton; and one nephew, Luke Sudduth.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Norred, Wayne Mapp, David Mapp, Glen Osborn, Tommy Rushton, Luke Sudduth, and Lee Mapp.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Mapp was born on September 29, 1958, the son of Benjamin Uzell and Loretta Osborn Mapp. He was a member of Milltown Baptist Church and had been employed with Zachary Construction. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
