My condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one, Donald. May your fine shared memories help you through this sad and difficult time. May God's promise of a paradise, where no one will say "I am sick", where death will be swallowed up forever, and where we will be reunited with our dead loved ones be a source of comfort to you. My very first memory of Don was me starting first grade and Don was the bus driver of bus number 51. He told me not to worry that he would always make sure that I didn't get left. When Billy died, I will never forget the comforting words he said to me. So proud to be kin to such a giant of a man that touched so many lives. To the family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Don, Go Rest High On That Mountain

Donald Benefield was one of my best friends. When I began preaching he would always let me know how proud he was of me, and at the many of funerals that I had with him there at Wedowee Funeral Home, he would always come up to me and say, Charley that was one to the best sermons I had ever heard, but I think that he was just trying to make me feel good. Don and EZ handle my dads funeral back in 1973 and they were there with my family showing us so much love to my mother and our family, Don was not only a blessing to the people of Randolph County but one of the best man that I know of and will always be a person that will be remembered in my mine until the day I leave this world. Thank you Don Benefield for taking the time to help a poor country boy from Randolph County to try to become someone that you helped to change my life, love you and praying for your family, blessings and save me a place in that city called Heaven, your friend, Charley Bolt.

Alyce and Family: You are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time in your lives.
Don was such a Special person. He served so many people in this area with such humbleness and compassion. He loved people and always had such kind words for everyone. He had such a high standard of excellence in everything he did. He always had a smile and was a true Christian and Southern gentleman. He was a great friend and he will truly be missed. We pray that God will comfort you all as only He can.

I first met Mr Donald at the Farmers co opp 2 years ago..I own a dog rescue just outside of Wedowee Alabama Angels Dog Rescue...I had asked the employees of the Co-opp of anyone that had a dump truck that would deliver some rock to my dog rescue...Mr Donald walked outside as I was leaving and volunteered to help me, he had a dump truck..
A week later I met Mr Don at his house and he and I went to the rock quarry to get the rock, after my house he and I got some more rock and delivered it to his sisters house..We became friends and he would drive to my house where my dog rescue was to check on me from time to time.....I was Blessed to have met Mr Donald and I am so sorry for his passing....I really enjoyed the conversations we had together, he was a good honest Christian and I am proud to have met him...Gods Speed Mr Donald...

To Miss Alice and all of the family I want to say how sad I am at Mr. Don's passing. I have nothing but good memories of him. My family, The McDaniel Family helped him and the others of Benefield Funeral Home with many funerals over the years and he was truly a special person. He would always be sure to tell us what a good job we did with the music and singing. He was such a comfort to my family when my Dad and Mom passed away. When I lost my husband Ray he came to see me and my children and again knew just what to say to help a hurting heart. I know how your hearts are hurting and I wanted to tell you that you will be in my prayers.
Love,
Donna
