Funeral services for Doris Culbertson Baldwin, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015. Mrs. Baldwin passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston. Survivors include: three daughters, Patsy Brown (husband, Jim) and Chris McCool (husband, Blake), both of Roanoke, and Jennifer Smith of Opelika; two sons, David Baldwin of Roanoke and Randy Baldwin of Phenix City; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lonnie Culbertson of Roanoke and Tommy Pete Culbertson of Five Points. Pallbearers will be C.J. Brown, Elvis Brown, Chris Davis, Micheal Nunnally, Bud Foster, Brandon Smith, and Kelly Brown. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Baldwin was born on July 2, 1936, the daughter of Tommy and Annie Rushing Culbertson. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church. Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James V. Baldwin, Sr.; one son, James V. Baldwin, Jr.; and two sisters, Katherine Mitchel and Bernice Shelnutt.
