OBITUARY Funeral services for Virginia Myhand Moore, age 74, of Cropwell, formerly of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 2:30 pm from High Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Moore and Rev. Gordon Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 pm on Sunday. Mrs. Moore died Friday, August 20, 2010, at her home in St. Clair County. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Wadsworth (Mike) of Cropwell and Elizabeth Smith (Jim) of Trussville; two sons, Paul Moore (Janice) of Inman, SC and Dan Moore (Julia) of James Island, SC; a brother, William Myhand of Lebanon, TN; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Wadsworth, David Jefferies, Morgan Smith, William Moore, Bobby Myhand, Joe Myhand and Rich Phillips. A Chambers County native, Mrs. Moore was born October 21, 1935, daughter of James Thomas and Effie Williams Myhand. She was a homemaker, a member of Coosa Valley Baptist Church in Cropwell and a former member of High Pine Baptist Church in Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Moore; two brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to High Pine Baptist Church building fund. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
