Obituary of Ralph Young

Funeral services for Ralph Young, age 78, of Snellville, GA, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Hornsby officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015. Mr. Young passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Embracing Hospice in Snellville. Survivors include: his wife, Mary J. Young of Snellville; one daughter, Sharon Meadows (husband, Wayne) of Loganville; one son, Michael Lee Young of Snellville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one son-in-law, Eddie Cash of Winder, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Meadows, Chad Meadows, Eddie Cash, James Cash, Salvador B., and Bill Lawson. A Randolph County native, Mr. Young was born on August 3, 1936, the son of George and Cleo Cummins Young. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Gail Young Cash.
