OBITUARY
Funeral services for Vener Hill Hollaway, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 25th.
Mrs. Hollaway died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Lawanna Shelnutt of Morrison Cross Roads, Sally Perry of LaGrange, Ga. and Linda Sheppard of Chatom; one sister, Jenelle Glass of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Hollaway was born March 14, 1924, daughter of H. O. and Sallie Sheppard Hill. She was Baptist by faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. B. Hollaway; son, Oscar Hill; daughter, Deloris Lynch; and three sisters.
