Funeral services for Willie R. “Bill” Pike, age 93, of Five Points will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Derek Farr officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Chambers County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
Mr. Pike passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo Pike of Five Points; three daughters, Harriett Shivers of Roanoke, Lynn Williamson of Hughley and Rosemary Adams of Standing Rock; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Benny Pike of Five Points.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Pike was born on December 8, 1921, the son of Russell E. and Mattie Lou Smith Pike. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and worked for Lanier Dye Works. Mr. Pike was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers.
