Funeral services for Frank Junior Roberts, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
Mr. Roberts passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Roberts (wife, Patti) of Macon, GA, and Johnny Roberts of Alexander City, AL; five grandchildren, Mindy Roberts, Amanda Mobley (husband, Chris), Caleb Akin (wife, Renee), Charles Akin, and Nick Williams; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Akin, Chris Mobley, Chris Daniel, A.J. Smith, Jason Smith, and Jeremy Parson.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Roberts was born on December 28, 1930, the son of Jim and Martha Lauderdale Roberts. He was a member of Midway Full Gospel Church and was retired, having worked for Handley Mills and West Point Pepperell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Roberts; three sisters; and four brothers.
