Obituary of Bonnie Norred King

Funeral services for Bonnie Faye Norred King, age 77, of Rock Mills, will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 10:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015. Mrs. King passed away on August 4, 2015, at her residence. Survivors include two sons, John R. King (wife, Sherry) and Ron King, both of Rock Mills; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her mother, Josie Mae Towler Norred; and two brothers, Maxie and Keith Norred, both of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Chaz King, Chase King, Lewis Walters, Chad Norred, Sidney Norred, and Eddie McGraw. A Rock Mills native, Mrs. King was born on November 2, 1937, the daughter of Bonnie Lee and Josie Mae Towler Norred. She was a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and worked as secretary for a real estate company. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, William John “Bill” King; and one brother, Sonny Norred. Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Rock Mills Methodist Church.
