OBITUARY
Funeral for Mr. Charles Treadwell, age 67, of Roanoke, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2010 from Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Mr. Treadwell will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, from 5-8 pm.
Mr. Treadwell died Monday, October 4, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Claudette Aiken Treadwell of Roanoke; two daughters, Angie Mason of Louisiana, Laurie (husband Larry) Andrews of Valley; one son, John (wife Sherri) Abernathy of Roanoke; one sister, Linda Williamson of Roanoke; one brother, James Treadwell of Roanoke; two grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be
Mr. Treadwell was born, November 22, 1942, the son of Oscar and Ora Adcock Treadwell. He was a member of the Rock Stand Congregational Church and worked for the Randolph County Highway Department. Mr. Treadwell was preceded in death by his parents; one sister.
