Obituary of Martha Carolyn Adamson

Funeral services for Martha Carolyn Robertson Adamson, age 77, of Sharpsburg, GA, formerly of Randolph County, will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 11:00 AM EST from Line Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-11:00 AM EST on Saturday.
Mrs. Adamson passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Edward Adamson of Sharpsburg, GA; one daughter, Pamela Lynn Adamson of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Ronald Edward Adamson (wife, Trudy B.) of Warm Springs, GA, Gary Lane Adamson (wife, Lisa) of Calhoun, GA, and Kevin Lee Adamson (wife, Mechelle) of Tunnel Hill, GA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Peggy Brown of Oxford, AL, and Emily Brown of Valley, AL.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Adamson was born on December 27, 1937, the daughter of E.T. and Sally Swann Robertson. She was a member of Line Creek Baptist Church and had previously been employed in the sewing industry and by Kroger in Dalton, GA, as a deli manager.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
