Obituary of Dorothy Earl Ward

OBITUARY Funeral for Mrs. Dorothy Earl Ward, age 66, of Roanoke, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 16, 2010, from Bethany Lime Christian Church with Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating. Mrs. Ward will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2010, from 5-8 pm. Mrs. Ward died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at East Alabama Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Darnell Ward of Roanoke; one daughter, Lisa (husband David) Looney of LaGrange, GA; one son, Kevin Ward of Roanoke; one sister, Mildred Lipham of Roanoke; one brother, Willard Earl of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Bob Dyar, Bill Dyar, Beau Tucker, Jody Ward, Josh Dyar, Ben Arrington. Mrs. Ward was born, November 9, 1943, the daughter of Leonard and Evelyn Pitts Earl. She was of the Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and had been a homemaker. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Randall Ward; one brother.
