Obituary of Rhonda Lynn Willingham

Funeral services for Rhonda Lynn Willingham, age 50, of Newnan, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015, at 1:00 PM CST from Big Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Halsey and Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-7:00 PM CST on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Ms. Willingham will lie in state one hour at the church prior to services beginning on Monday.
Ms. Willingham passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at home with family and friends.
Survivors include her father, George Willingham of Newnan, GA; two brothers, Steven Willingham (wife, Cathy) of Locust Grove, GA, and Kem Willingham (wife, Shannon) of Lineville, AL; three sisters, Chantay McEwen of Newnan, GA, Tammy Berry (husband, Wayne) of Salem, AL, and Wynette Tilley (husband, Greg) of Valley, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wants to recognize Niece Felicia McEwen for all of her love, dedication, and care she gave to her Aunt Rhonda.
Pallbearers will be Ms. Willingham’s brothers, Steven and Kem Willingham, and her nephews, Dale and Daniel Willingham.
A Coweta County native, Ms. Willingham was born on January 24, 1965, the daughter of George Hulen and Frances Virginia McDonald Willingham. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mothers, Frances Virginia Willingham and Ethel Willingham.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
