Obituary of Ron Kramer

Funeral services for Ron Kramer, age 74, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Rock Mills United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Korb and Julian Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Mr. Kramer will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.
Mr. Kramer passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Kramer of Roanoke, AL; four daughters, Katherine Parker (husband, Jonathan) of Apex, NC, Leslie Renwick (husband, Dusty) of Orlando, FL, Kristi Gentle (husband, Ty) of Tallahassee, FL, and Donna Neighbors (husband, Lew) of Roanoke; one son, Brian Sellers (wife, Mandi) of Roanoke, AL; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Carol Nordbrock of Gary, IN; and two brothers, Gary Kramer of Sugar Grove, IL, and Ken Kramer of Aurora, IL.
Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Curtis Wilson, Roby Davenport, Paul Smith, Paul Loveless, and Larry Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Carpenters For Christ.
An Aurora, Illinois native, Mr. Kramer was born on April 25, 1941, the son of Nicholas and Bernadine Jeray Kramer. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, attended Rock Mills United Methodist Church, and worked as a construction manager for Southern Bell. Mr. Kramer was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jim Kramer.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Rock Mills United Methodist Church c/o Sherry Towler.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
