Funeral services for Cynthia Carol “Cindy” Phillips, age 54, of Roanoke, will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Roger Hammett officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty East Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2015.
Mrs. Phillips passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Phillips of Roanoke; one daughter, Jeri Sheppard of Boaz; one son, Timothy McManus (wife, Dannette) of Woodland; her parents, Harlin and Janell Sheppard of Rock Mills; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chase Brown, Jamie Fleming, Lee Phillips, Lee Ussery, Dalton Burke, and Tony Sheppard.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Phillips was born on February 27, 1961, the daughter of Harlin and Janell Chappel Sheppard. She was Baptist by faith and had been employed as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Burke; and one brother, Mike Sheppard.
