Obituary of Eleanor Grace Hartley

Funeral services for Eleanor Grace Hartley, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Emery officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery in Montgomery, AL.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
Mrs. Hartley passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Emery (husband, Ricky) of Roanoke; one son, Randy Hartley (wife, Alice) of Jeffersonville, IN; five grandchildren, Jessica Emery, John Emery (wife, Mia), Allison Emery, Faith Hartley Hobson (husband, Aaron), and Kelly Hartley; three sisters, Joyce Bolling, Alyce Bolling, and Jeannie Boyd, all of Prattville, AL; and one brother, Bobby Rhodes of Prattville, AL.
Pallbearers will include John Emery, Andy Bolling, and Aaron Hobson.
A Chilton County native, Mrs. Hartley was born on December 3, 1930, the daughter of Felix and Aileen Baker Rhodes. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and had worked for the Alabama Department of Human Resources. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Hartley; one sister, Faye Rhodes; and two brothers, Tommy Rhodes and Felix Rhodes.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
