Obituary of Paul Pirkle Jr.

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mr. Paul Pirkle Jr., age 42, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, October 22, 2010 from Big Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Mr. Pirkle will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Mr. Pirkle died Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Mr. Pirkle is survived by his wife, Melissa Driskell Pirkle of Roanoke; four sons, Matthew Paul Allen, Robert Ethan, Joseph Dustin, and John Christopher Pirkle all of Roanoke; his parents, Paul Sr, and Linda Pirkle of Villa Rica, Ga; paternal grandparent, Ross Pirkle of Douglasville, GA; three sisters, Melissa Diane Pirkle of Hampton, GA, Melinda Pirkle Watson of Tallapoosa, GA, Sonya Pirkle Safford of Villa Rica, GA; two brothers, Carlos Pirkle and Carl Pirkle both of Villa Rica, GA; many cousins, inlaws, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Chambers, Jeff Duston, Stephen Warner, Lane Hosea, Tracy Edwards, Steve Keller and Eddy Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Norred, Danny Giles, Heath Green and Cecil Hammond. Mr. Pirkle was born, July 14, 1968. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and an installation manager for Williams Tile. Flowers will be accepted or donations to the Bank of Wedowee, Memorial Fund, in memory of Paul Pirkle.
