OBITUARY
Funeral services for Michael Grant Taylor, age 58, will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at Forrester’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.
Mr. Taylor passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, at his home.
Survivors include his sister, Melissa McCurry (husband, David) of Roanoke and three aunts, Mary Joyce Lacy, Gloria Calhoun, and Jean Taylor.
A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mr. Taylor was born on September 2, 1957, the son of Elmer Grant Taylor and Mary Lynn Calhoun Taylor. He was employed at Candlewick Yarns. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
