Funeral services for, Mrs. Grace Thompson Hudson, "Ninney", age 96, of Five Points, will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the Standing Rock Methodist church with Rev. Bill Williams and Rev. Paul Messer officiating. Mrs. Hudson will lie in state for one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Mrs. Hudson died, Monday, November 8, 2010 at Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Hudson is survived by one daughter, Dianne (husband Andy) Anderson of Sevierville, TN; three grandchildren, Dana (husband Scott) Robertson, Gary Jones, and Darrell (wife Claire)Jones; grand-daughter-in-law, Melanie Jones; seven great grandchildren, Benji (wife Catherine) Robertson, Summer (husband Neil) Johnson, Chelsea Jones, Mark Jones, Grayson Jones, Hendon Jones and Hogan Jones; one great great-grandchild, Riley Johnson. Pallbearers will be Ward Bonner, Bobby Jones, Billy Joe Pike, Johnny Dodgen, Freddie Johnson and Randy Hudson. Mrs. Hudson was born, July 7, 1914, the daughter of Henry J. and Lilla Jane Freeman Thompson. She was a member of the Standing Rock Methodist Church and had owned Hudson Grocery at Hickory Flat. Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel Hudson; her parents; two daughters, Anita Grace Hudson and Bobbie Jean Hudson.
