Mr. John Thomas Simons, age 80, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Simons of Roanoke; two daughters, Donna Rene Gore and Lisa Simons of Roanoke; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Ann Miles of LaGrange.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Simons was born on June 23, 1935, the son of Homer Clem and Cumi Viola Clark Simons. He was a self-employed logger. Mr. Simons was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Ronnie and Donnie Simons.
