Funeral services for Tina Redden Hammond, age 53, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
Mrs. Hammond passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome Hammond of Roanoke; one daughter, Shasta Hammond Handling (husband, Dustin) of Roanoke; one son, Johnny Shane Martin (wife, Stacey) of Milltown; five grandchildren; her mother, Mary Nell Redden of Roanoke; and three sisters, Julie Pike, Anita Stephens, and Kelley Litsey, all of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Josh Rollins, Daniel Tyler, Joshua Tyler, Kody Mitchell, Stacey Mitchell, and Brandon Pike.
A Roanoke native, Mrs. Hammond was born on January 2, 1963, the daughter of Otis Thomas “Johnny” and Mary Nell Kelly Redden. She attended Highway Congregational Methodist Church and worked as a salesperson for Badcock Furniture. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her father and an aunt, Nadine Herren.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
