Obituary of Tina Hammond

Funeral services for Tina Redden Hammond, age 53, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Mrs. Hammond passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at her residence. Survivors include her husband, Jerome Hammond of Roanoke; one daughter, Shasta Hammond Handling (husband, Dustin) of Roanoke; one son, Johnny Shane Martin (wife, Stacey) of Milltown; five grandchildren; her mother, Mary Nell Redden of Roanoke; and three sisters, Julie Pike, Anita Stephens, and Kelley Litsey, all of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Josh Rollins, Daniel Tyler, Joshua Tyler, Kody Mitchell, Stacey Mitchell, and Brandon Pike. A Roanoke native, Mrs. Hammond was born on January 2, 1963, the daughter of Otis Thomas “Johnny” and Mary Nell Kelly Redden. She attended Highway Congregational Methodist Church and worked as a salesperson for Badcock Furniture. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her father and an aunt, Nadine Herren.
