Obituary of Betty Jo Treadwell

Funeral services for Betty Jo Treadwell, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Kenneth Johnson and Rev. Ryan Conger officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2016. Mrs. Treadwell will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Friday. Mrs. Treadwell passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, E.T. “Billy” Treadwell of Roanoke; two sons, Denny Treadwell (wife, Linda) of Lawrenceville, GA and Bobby Treadwell (wife, Christi) of Roanoke; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chad Treadwell, Brad Treadwell, Blake Treadwell, Ben Treadwell, Chuck Holloway, Kenneth Treadwell, Kyle Treadwell, and David Treadwell. A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Treadwell was born on September 3, 1933, the daughter of Daniel and Martha Robertson Howse. She was a member of Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church, a member of the Georgia-Alabama Antique Car Club, and had worked for Palm Beach as a presser supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Jane Howse Holloway. Memorials may be floral or the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
