Obituary of Samuel Joe Lewis

Graveside services for Samuel “Sambo” Joe Lewis, age 60, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 1:00 PM from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Billy Joe Fetner officiating. Burial will follow with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lewis passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his residence. Survivors include: his father, Samuel “Skinny” Lewis of Roanoke; step mother, Darthy Lewis of Roanoke; one son, Joey Lewis of Hattiesburg; one sister, Pam Williams (husband, Steve) of Roanoke; two brothers, Michael Lewis (wife, Ann) of Roanoke and Terry Lewis (wife, Jackie) of LaGrange. A Randolph County native, Mr. Lewis was born on January 31, 1956, the son of Samuel and Jo Ann Proctor Lewis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ann Proctor Lewis; one son, Timothy Lewis. Flowers will be accepted or donations will be made to the Traylor Health and Rehab Activity Fund.
