Danny I am so sorry to hear about Mr Daniel. He was such a sweet man. I remember him so much when we all went to Center Chapel. I thought the world of your parents, such nice people.. I worked at Handley Mills for a year when I finished high school and was getting ready to go to college. Speedy was our superintendent , he was so good to us and we all loved him. My heart goes out to his family during this time of grief in your lives. May God wrap his arms around each of you and comfort you during this time of sorrow.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
