Michael, We didn't get the chance to speak with you at visitation of Ms. Mabelene, however just wanted you to know how much we thought of your Mother. She was a sweet and precious person. When she was working around town and we went into her store she always made a point to come and speak to us (me and Wayne, my husband) she always asked about our son, and my parents. She knew both my parents had some health concerns so she always wanted to hear from them. Living in Roanoke , one knew nearly everybody (at least it used to be that way--not so much now).
She was a very unique woman and I know you , Patricia, and Lura will miss her greatly--she always spoke about all of you when she was around people. Her smile when she talked to others said a lot about her.
Sending all of you thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Mabelene Young Family:
This lady was a sweet, cheerful and dear soul to me.
She was the cure to the common ailment which was laughter that everybody needed when they came in the drug store. She always had something to talk about and laugh about no matter how she felt. I know she kept me rolling in smiles. I know she kept everyone she knew in smiles as well. I loved this woman and every time I think about her. I will have a smile because she was smiling. Sorry, to see her become weak. But, I know life is part of God's Plan.
