Funeral services for Benny Hallman, age 83, of Roanoke, Alabama, will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lanita Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Mr. Hallman passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kathy Stewart (husband, Robert) of Oxford, Al; two step-daughters, Denise Aggilar and Susan Traylor; one son, Benny Craig Hallman (wife, Anita) of Lexington, NC; one step-son, Ronald Traylor; two grandchildren, Benny Renol Hallman (wife, Ashley) of Trenton, Ga, and Mary Amanda Hill (husband, Cam) of Lexington, NC; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Allen of Talladega, Al; one brother, Daniel Hallman of Talladega, Al.
A Clay County native, Mr. Hallman was born on June 10, 1933, the son of Eula Browning and Chandler Lewis Hallman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue Traylor Hallman; and one sister, Gladys Jackson.
