Obituary of Carrie Ann Windsor

Funeral services for Carrie Ann Windsor, age 78, of Wadley will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 3:00 PM from New Hope Christian Church with Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016. Mrs. Windsor will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.
Mrs. Windsor passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, W. R. Windsor of Wadley; two daughters, Melody Ann Denam of Lafayette and Tammie Hodges (husband, Fred) of Wadley; two sons, L. Jack Windsor of Indianapolis, IN, and Scott Windsor (wife, Lynne) of Cusseta, AL; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Denam, Chris Denam, Jack Garrett Windsor, Justin Pressley, Rick Sims, Tony Sims, Daryl Harmon, and David Harmon.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Windsor was born on February 16, 1938, the daughter of Lester Wood and Lula Carpenter Satterwhite. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church and was a housewife and mother. Mrs. Windsor was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Robert Windsor, Jr.; one granddaughter, Jessica Windsor; and nine brothers and sisters.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
